Touchly Louchely

Aheen Omer

My space shows a mixture of artwork displayed as a collection. Due to lockdown, I was deprived of using campus facilities but when I got the chance to use them, I did a lot of experiments and learned about new techniques and materials, which had always been my plan for this project.

I particularly enjoy making abstract shapes and 3D artwork and exploring different experiments which I incorporated into this project. I am also influenced by geometric shapes, colour and other artwork and although much of my work was done in workshops, I also created pieces at home. Some pieces use repetition to present patterns and huge collections. Quite often when I hold a material to work with it, I do not know what I am going to do, I just make art with no or a simple idea.
